Our Story
Caring Bear was founded by four students from the International Community School (ICS) of Bangkok: Victor Joaquin (VJ) Lopez Go, James Ahpai Pinsuvana, Kalyarak (Kate) Supthavichaiyakul, and Non (Doy) Chaisubunkanock, a graduate of ICS’s life skills program. Inspired by Doy’s experiences forming meaningful friendships with his peers, the group sought to create more opportunities for connection, inclusion, and empowerment for children with neurodiversity.
The idea for Caring Bear began with the ICS LINKS Club, which connected high school students with the life skills class as role models and friends. Rooted in ICS’s commitment to community service and fostering relationships, LINKS inspired the founders to use service as a way to build meaningful connections and empower children with neurodiversity.
Motivated by the success of LINKS, the founders envisioned a broader mission that could reach beyond ICS. Caring Bear was born to extend these inclusive opportunities to children across Thailand.
Today, Caring Bear collaborates with various organizations, offering programs that foster creativity, friendship, and personal growth. By creating a loving and supportive community, Caring Bear ensures that children with neurodiversity feel valued, included, and empowered to thrive.
